Product description:
- Pinaverium bromide is a drug that belongs to a class of drugs known as "gastrointestinal calcium channel blockers".
It is used for the following signals:
- Relieving the symptoms associated with functional bowel problems such as pain, bowel discomfort, and intestinal disturbances.
- Relief from pain associated with functional problems of the bile ducts.
- Preparation for a barium enema (an X-ray examination that can detect changes or abnormalities in the intestines).
Do not take Benaverium bromide:
- If you are allergic to pinaverium bromide or any of the ingredients in this medicine.
- Tell your doctor about any allergies and symptoms you have.
Warnings and precautions:
- Speak to your doctor or pharmacist if you experience allergic reactions such as shortness of breath, rash, swelling of the face or neck, low blood pressure and dizziness.
- This medicine has not yet been proven to be safe or effective for children.
- Do not use this medicine for children.
- This medicine contains lactose.
- Speak to your doctor before starting this medicine if you have been told that you have an intolerance to some sugars, including if you have lactase deficiency, galactose intolerance, or glucose-galactose malabsorption.
If you suffer from any of these medical conditions, you should not take this medicine:
- If you are a patient with a previous hiatal hernia or esophageal lesion, you should pay close attention to how you take this medicine to avoid damage to the upper digestive tract, including esophageal ulcers (sores in the esophagus).
Usage guidelines:
Adults:
- The recommended dose is one tablet orally twice a day (one tablet in the morning and one tablet in the evening).
- Your doctor may exceptionally recommend a dose of one tablet three times a day.
children:
- The effectiveness and safety of this drug in children have not yet been proven.
- Make sure you take your medications exactly as described in this leaflet or as recommended by your healthcare provider.
- Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
- Swallow the tablet with a glass of water in the middle of the meal.
- Do not chew or suck on the tablet.
How to store Benavirum Bromide:
- The medicine should not be stored above 30 degrees Celsius.
- Keep out of reach of children.
- Do not use after the expiry date stated on the carton.
- Keep the medicine in its original packaging to protect it from moisture and light.
- Do not use damaged grains.
- Do not dispose of medicines in sewage or household waste.
